DengFu Winice E55 frame wrap carbon fiber roll
1. Pre-cut the carbon fiber fabric.
The carbon fiber fabric is pre-cut to the correct size and shape. The fabric is also marked with the orientation of the fibers. The orientation of the fibers is important because it determines the strength and stiffness of the frame. For example, if the fibers are oriented in the direction of the forces that will be applied to the frame, the frame will be stronger.
2. Lay out the carbon fiber fabric on the latex.
The carbon fiber fabric is laid out on the latex in a specific pattern that will determine the strength and stiffness of the frame. The pattern is usually designed by a computer using finite element analysis (FEA). The FEA software takes into account the forces that will be applied to the frame during use, such as the rider's weight, the forces from pedaling, and the forces from braking. The software then generates a pattern of carbon fiber fabric that will distribute these forces evenly throughout the frame.
3. Cure the frame. The frame is cured under heat and pressure.
The curing process typically takes several hours. During the curing process, the resin hardens and the carbon fiber fabric bonds together.
